Looking for the apartments to rent? Or maybe the US isn’t your home country, and you feel confused about where to stay? There is an app called Trulia to help you out! It helps to discover a perfect place to stay, explore the area nearby, and find out essential info from locals.
I like the neat design of this app and its intuitive interface. There is nothing in excess, and the search is rather simple. Trulia is pretty easy to navigate, yet there are many helpful features that make the app useful indeed. So, I would give this app a solid 5/5 for its design and interface.
Trulia helps you find a perfect apartment, home, or even room for rent. Use various filters to search rentals by price, location, number of beds, and so on. You can even choose from apartments near a particular transit station which is super convenient.
The app goes further and offers you to use interactive maps such as crime rate, restaurants, schools, affordability, and commute. You can even find out the average prices or school ratings for almost any area. I guess not any app will give you such information, especially when it comes to schools.
What I like the most about Trulia, is that they’re trying to give you really helpful information proved by local people. You may find out facts that only locals know, and that gives you a feeling of being kind of at home – at least, in a friendly neighborhood.
On Trulia, people share things they like about their neighborhood such as favorite shops and restaurants, parking lots, and so on. You can also find out how safe the neighborhood is, and that is exactly the kind of information I would rather learn from local people. I just hope they’re honest when it comes to safety in their area.
Contacting landlords is very easy – you can do this by one-click request. I also like push notifications since they help you keep up with the new rentals that match your search so that you won’t miss a perfect home for rent. If you have a bit of free time you can find open houses nearby and add them to your calendar.
The app works on Android-based devices, iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. I rate Trulia 4.5/5 for its features.
Convenience and Performance
As I said before, the app is quite simple and easy to use, not to mention its various features that make Trulia very convenient and helpful. Overall, I like the ease and convenience of the Trulia app, yet there are some cons.
First off, I have a feeling that realtors also use the app to advertise themselves, although the whole purpose of Trulia is not to deal with realtors. Also, filters don’t always work correctly, so you have to be careful in order to not miss something. There may be glitches and crashes, especially after updates, so I rate the app 3.5/5 for convenience and performance.
- Trulia has an impressive base of rentals and users;
- Various filters help you find the perfect room, apartments, or home to rent;
- The app is easy to use and intuitive, features many useful functions;
- It’s compatible with both iOS and Android.
- Trulia works only for properties in the USA;
- Some filters may work incorrectly, and some errors may occur;
- There is a chance of coming across realtors and fake apartments.
Overall, Trivia is an excellent app for finding rentals that features various filters and gives you helpful info about the area. I like being able to learn from the locals, although occasional online encounters with realtors may disappoint you.
To find a perfect rental, you should keep a critical eye on everything you see and read – and such attitude is helpful whether you’re looking for a house or, you know, just live your life.
